It’s been revealed that former Prime Minister David Cameron is currently working as an unpaid intern. Sources close to Cameron informed The Spark that Cameron had been unable to find regular employment since his resignation as Prime Minister in June 2016. They explained that he was unable to explain to potential employers how he had ‘made such a bloody mess’ of the EU membership referendum, and as a result none were prepared to take the risk of employing him. They also noted that his successor, Theresa May, is ‘steadfastly refusing to provide a decent reference’.

As a result Cameron is currently working as an unpaid intern for a media company in the Oxford area, though they have recently agreed to pay some of his travel expenses. Cameron is reportedly ‘hopeful’ that he will get a job at the end of the internship, but hasn’t been promised anything yet.

When approached by The Spark the media company in question admitted that they were employing Cameron as an intern. An anonymous source within the company told us that Cameron is becoming ‘a pain in the arse’, as he ‘keeps calling for referendums on every office dispute’. They added that Cameron keeps ‘banging on about something called ‘The Big Society’, but ‘nobody has a bleeding clue what he’s on about’.
